Dear Blue Lakes Family:

We hope you have had a restful and enjoyable summer.  I am excited and honored to begin the new school year with all our new and returning Wildcats, as we open our doors and begin a year with 20/20 vision on August 19, 2019! We are ecstatic to be an “A” rated school due to the hard work and dedication our teachers, students, and staff set forth last academic school year.

As always, the summer has been a busy time at our school.  Our custodial staff has worked extra hard to ensure that all classes, hallways, and common areas are pristine. This year there will be several exciting changes. In August, The Office of Capital Improvement will be repaving our basketball hard courts. Our cafetorium was redone with new lighting on and off the stage. We are expecting a new sound system installation as well. We are also part of the General Obligation Bond (GOB), where our school will receive structural changes such as new windows, A/C units, and repainting of our building.

We cannot wait to welcome all our teachers and staff on our first official work day, Thursday, August 14, 2019. This year’s theme will be “Teaching with 20/20 Vision”. Our PTA, headed this year by Mrs. Guier and our very own Annie Cain, together with school administration welcome you and look forward to your support on all our future programs, incentives, and activities to promote our school.

As you know, although Blue Lakes Elementary is an extremely safe school, it is important that we all work together to ensure that safety is a priority. It is a safety requirement that all faculty and staff wear an identification badge for the school year.  It is also always required that students be in uniform, unless specified by the administration for a specific event. We ask students to be in attendance, daily, and on time to ensure that they are receiving an optimum educational experience.

Once again, I am honored to be your Principal. I cannot wait to see all the great things that will happen at Blue Lakes Elementary this year. If you have any questions, concerns, or want to become part of our Blue Lakes Family, please feel free to contact me at
